Riding Overview
This riding, southwest of Quebec City and including some south shore suburbs, has been held by the Conservatives since 2006. Prior to that, it was held by the Bloc Québécois. In 2011, the NDP candidate was less than 2% (under 1000 votes) behind the Conservative, Jacques Gourde. The riding has grown to include some areas from Mégantic—L'Érable, which has also been traditionally Conservative.
