Riding Overview
A traditionally safe non-Conservative rural riding northwest of Montreal. After a string of Bloc Québécois victories, the NDP took this seat in 2011. In 2006, the Conservatives received 20% of the vote, their strongest showing in recent years. Current incumbent, NDP MP Marc-André Morin, will not be running for re-election in October, after losing the nomination to Dr. Simon-Pierre Landry.
