Riding Overview
A swing riding, Louis-Saint-Laurent has been held by four different parties in the last 15 years, from the Liberals in 2000, to the Bloc Québécois in 2004, to the Conservatives in 2006 and 2008, and finally to the NDP in 2011. The 2011 race between the NDP and the Conservatives was close, with the NDP defeating the Conservatives by less than 1,300 votes. There are no sitting MPs running in October.
