Riding Overview
Historically a safe non-Conservative riding in western Ontario. The closest the Conservatives have come to winning this seat recently was in 2006 when the vote was split almost evenly between the NDP and the Liberals (35% and 33%) and the Conservatives had a strong showing at 27%. MP John Rafferty, who has held the seat for the NDP since 2008, is seeking re-election in October.
