Riding Overview
Traditionally a Liberal stronghold, this mixed urban and rural riding is located on the west end of the island of Montreal. Although currently held by the Liberals, the Conservatives secured 24% of the vote in 2008 and 28% in 2011, in what became a three-way race with the NDP, who received 30% of the vote, up from 16% in 2008. The incumbent, Liberal MP Francis Scarpaleggia, is seeking re-election in October.
