Riding Overview
New Brunswick Southwest has been a Conservative stronghold since 1997. In 2011, the incumbent, Conservative MP John Williamson secured over 56% of the vote. Over the last decade, the NDP has overtaken the Liberals for second place in the riding, taking 23% of the vote in 2011. Williamson is seeking re-election in October.
