Argenteuil—La Petite-Nation
Riding Overview
A new riding in Quebec, largely made up of the Argenteuil—Papineau—Mirabel riding, which was held by the Bloc Québécois from 1993 until 2011, when the NDP took the seat by a wide margin. Until then, the Conservatives usually fought for second place with the Liberals. The incumbent, NDP MP Mylène Freeman, was a student at McGill University when she won the seat. She is now the Opposition Critic for the Status of Women.
