Riding Overview
Historically a swing riding, Beauce is currently held by Conservative MP Maxime Bernier. Bernier secured over 50% of the vote in 2011, with the NDP candidate taking 30%. Bernier has been involved in multiple scandals, including security breaches, and had to step down from his post as Minister of Foreign Affairs, but he remains in Stephen Harper's cabinet.
