Riding Overview
A traditionally safe non-Conservative riding, Sackville—Preston—Chezzetcook has been held by the incumbent, NDP MP Peter Stoffer, since a close victory over the Progressive Conservatives in 1997. In the 2006, 2008, and 2011 elections, Stoffer, who is seeking re-election in the October election, secured more than 50% of the vote.
