A traditionally safe non-Conservative riding in northeast Nova Scotia, Sydney—Victoria is currently held by Liberal MP Mark Eyking. The NDP were traditionally second to the Liberals, but Conservative support has been growing, leaping past the NDP in 2011, when the Conservatives were just 2% (under 800 votes) from taking the seat. Eyking is seeking re-election in October.
