VoteTogether.ca announces first round of candidate recommendations

TORONTO, October 10, 2015 - Leadnow is pleased to announce the first round of Vote Together candidate recommendations. In 16 ridings where the Vote Together campaign is strongest, the local Leadnow community has voted to recommend candidates who are clearly positioned to defeat the local Conservative.

Votetogether.ca is the best place for Canadians to get critical information to inform their vote,” says Amara Possian, the elections campaign manager for Leadnow. “It offers details about the riding they live in and includes which local candidate has the best chance of defeating the Conservatives.”

In ridings where the latest riding-level polling shows a clear front-runner and a majority of Vote Together pledge signers agree, Leadnow is officially recommending candidates and will mobilize resources from across the country to rally voters behind them. This is the first of three rounds of recommendations that will be released by the Vote Together campaign.

“With only 9 days left in the federal election, these recommendations show that Canadians are prepared to unite to defeat Conservatives,” added Possian. “Now we start mobilizing to get out the vote for candidates who have been chosen by voters who want change.”

To date, over 85,000 people have pledged to vote together in this election and the number continues to grow.
