Riding Overview
A new riding made entirely from the existing eastern Ontario riding of Nepean—Carleton, which has been safely Conservative since they won the seat in 2004. Conservative MP Pierre Poilievre, who has been involved in a number of controversies, including proposing the Fair Elections Act, currently holds that riding. One of Poilievre’s former staff, Andy Wang, is running as the Conservative candidate for this seat in October.
