Charlesbourg—Haute-Saint-Charles
Riding Overview
Since 2004, the swing riding of Charlesbourg—Haute-Saint-Charles has gone through numerous parties, having been held by the Bloc Québécois, the Conservatives, and now the NDP. Although the Conservatives performed well in 2006 and 2008, the NDP saw a huge surge of support in the 2011 election, with NDP MP Anne-Marie Day defeating the Conservative incumbent by almost 8,000 votes. Day is seeking re-election in October.
