But no matter what results come in over the next few hours, in so many ways you – the incredible Leadnow community – have already won. So before we leap together into whatever comes next, we wanted to take a moment, say “Thank you!” and share just some of the many reasons we're so deeply grateful for what you all have just achieved.

On Thursday, October 15th, the Leadnow community voted to recommend NDP candidate Mira Oreck as the best choice for defeating the Conservative candidate in Vancouver Granville. We’re writing today to explain how Leadnow’s community came to make a recommendation in Vancouver Granville, and how our democratic process worked.

My name is Adam Shedletzky and I’m one of Leadnow’s co-founders and the Chair of our Board of Directors. I’m writing this note to tell you a bit about Leadnow’s funding sources. Here’s the short version: the overwhelming majority of our money comes from individual Canadians giving small donations online. We registered as a third-party in the 2015 election, we only used Canadian donations for our election campaign, and we have submitted a full report to Elections Canada.

This last week has been a game changer for the Vote Together campaign. We launched our new election website at votetogether.ca, and received national media coverage for the results of crowdfunded local polling in 13 key ridings that show a decline in the Conservative vote across Canada.
