A new riding in a traditionally Conservative area made up of parts of the Edmonton East and Edmonton—St. Albert ridings. However, support for the NDP in this area has increased over the past three elections, and might result in a two-way race in this new riding. The Conservative candidate for this new seat is Kerry Diotte, a former Edmonton city councillor.
