Riding Overview
A new riding created from parts of Calgary Southeast and Calgary Southwest. While it is expected to be a safe conservative riding, voters from the provincial riding that overlaps Calgary Heritage recently elected an NDP MLA to represent them in the Alberta Legislature. Prime Minister Stephen Harper has held Calgary Southwest since 2002, and will be running for this new seat in October.
