Riding Overview
This riding has been safely held by the Conservatives since 2004. Before that, the Liberals held the seat, with the Reform and Progressive Conservatives splitting the vote on the right. The incumbent, Conservative MP Gordon Brown, who took the seat in 2011 with 61% of the vote, is running for re-election in October.
