Election Results

Since the 2011 election the riding boundaries have been redrawn and 30 new ridings have been added. The graph above shows past results mapped onto these boundaries. This may make the results look strange.

Riding Overview

A new riding in central Ontario made up of parts of the Barrie and York—Simcoe ridings. These are both strongly Conservative ridings, and the new riding, according to 2011 votes, would also go to the Conservatives. The Liberals finished second in these ridings until 2011, when the NDP surpassed them, taking around 20% of the vote.
