Repentigny
Riding Overview
Close to Montreal, Repentigny is a traditionally safe non-Conservative riding. It was a safe Bloc Québécois seat until 2011, when the NDP won by a margin of 20%. The Conservatives secured 7% of the vote in that election. In 2014, Jean-François Larose, elected as an NDP candidate, formed the Forces et Démocratie party with another MP to represent the interests of the Quebec regions. Larose is running for re-election in October and the NDP is putting up a new candidate, Réjean Bellemare.
