A traditionally safe non-Conservative riding in downtown Montreal. It was held by Bloc Québécois leader Gilles Duceppe until 2011, when he lost to the NDP candidate Hélène Laverdière. The Conservatives have not secured more than 10% of the vote in this riding in recent elections.
