Riding Overview
A traditionally safe non-Conservative riding in eastern Quebec on the north shore of the St. Lawrence. It went NDP in 2011 after having been Bloc Québécois in previous elections. The Conservatives took 32% of votes in 2006 and 27% in 2008, showing they do have support in the area. The incumbent, NDP MP Jonathan Tremblay, is seeking re-election in October.
