Riding Overview

The boundaries of the Ahuntsic riding have been altered to create the new riding of Ahuntsic—Cartierville. It is likely there will be a 3-way race in this riding between the NDP, the Liberals and the Bloc. Bloc Québécois MP Maria Mourani has held the riding of Ahuntsic since 2006. However, due to the surge of support for the NDP in recent years, Mourani is running in the new riding of Ahuntsic—Cartierville as the NDP candidate.
