St. John's East
Riding Overview
A traditionally Conservative riding, with the occasional Liberal candidate being elected, St John's East was swept by the NDP in 2008 and 2011. This is an old riding that includes the north end of Newfoundland's capital city and nearby areas. NDP MP Jack Harris has held the seat since taking over 70% of the vote in 2008 and again in 2011.
