This is the only riding in Labrador, and it is a swing riding between the Conservatives and Liberals. Liberal MP Yvonne Jones currently holds the seat after defeating Conservative Peter Penashue in a 2013 by-election, which was spurred by allegations of spending irregularities in Penashue's campaign. The NDP hasn't secured more than 20% of votes in this riding since the 1980s.
